Bushmaster® SP
Next Generation Semi- Premium
Bushmaster® SP was designed to be the next generation’s semi-premium connection. It provides a solution to the issues plaguing API BTC compatible connections: limited torque, inconsistent makeup profiles, spinning couplings, poor sealability, and high connection stress. The Constrictor® thread form is tight fitting, providing an outstanding thread seal, reduces hoop stress to half that of an API BTC compatible connection, and generates extraordinary operating torque. This connection was built for the most challenging applications.
Negative load and stab flanks diminish the potential for jumpout and reduce localized movement within the connection under bending, tension, and pressure. Stepped crests and low pitch allow for Bushmaster® SP to be madeup in 6 turns compared to 12 for API BTC compatible connections. The coupling anti-rotation feature prevents spinning couplings in the field, reducing uncertainty and non-productive time. Bushmaster® SP saves operators money and time while holding up to the most challenging conditions.
